Hello! Today I want to tell you a story about the day we visted Thai Binh, a small and peaceful homeland of Vietnam, visited the one who has founded the Shaolin Shandong sect – master Nguyen Van Tho. It was 23rd July, the day that I will never forget. For me, I feel honored and proud to be on the specific homeland, in the heart I offer deep emotion that perhaps one in each of us also have the emothional outpouring that. You know, I can’t say that I’m a bit luckier than you just because I were met him when he was alive, sit next to him and listen to him, I feel very happy because I were seen him and have been trained in the sect Shaolin Shandong whose he’s the founder.
In that day we had all seven persons including two teachers, master Nguyen Minh Thang and master Phan Dinh Long. Seven of us aggregated at mster Nguyen Minh Thang’s home to wait for the car. 6.30 AM we began our journey, visiting Thai Binh homeland. As the schedule was laid out, we went half an hour late. In the car, people excited and looked forward to the homeland because for master Thang’s students, this was the first time they gone to master Tho’s homeland so everybody really excited. At 9.30 AM we arrived to his homeland. it was Vu Thu district - Thai Binh province and the first place that arrived was an ancient temple was built hundreds of years, attached to his childhood and it’s the where he trained everyday. At this point we were more eager to get inside to see. This is my first time here. I’ve heared a lot about the Keo Pagoda and now being winessed, I’m very happy, I went around to visit the pagoda, everything is so beautiful in my eyes. I like animals as a three years old child calls for parents to go out here and there. In additon to prayed for peace an avoided disease, we went around to capture the beauty and took a lot of photos to obtain data on post. We also took many photos to keep as memory. And that’s the day that each of us will never forget.
About 10.30 AM we started to leave the Keo Pagoda. Right on the other side is his village separated by a ditch. We kept going. Over the ditch, there’s a small path leading to a house. It’s uncle Giao’s home, the nephew of master Tho. We went inside to take a rest and then visited the grave of master Tho. I was waiting and wanting to go out quickly and quickly to visit his grave and give him a light incense with all my respect. Right 11:30 AM, we started going to his grave in the summer heat. We kept going on the path to his grave. When we arrived we had already seen Master Long and Mr.Giao in there, waiting for us to come. For not making master Long have to wait long, me and everybody do all the works after preparing the fruits. Everything were ready, each of us give him a light incense to show our respect to him. Standing in front of his grave, I could not control myself remembering the time when he was alive, when I sit next to him and listened to him. In my whole life, I can not forget that and now standing in front of his grave I feel so sad. My eyes seem like it was gonna let the tears fall. But I didn’t let everybody see that moment. Honestly, in our heart, he will always be alive. He will always watch us.
After burning incense to finish our instruments we went back to Mr Giao’s home to rest. At 12:30 we left. But each of us feel so sad and don’t want to leave this place. We hope one day we can go back to visit his grave. After that, we visit the home of Master Thang’s wife’s parents. They invited us to stay and have a lunch. We all tired and hungry. We talked a lot, we listened to the two master talking about master Tho. Finishing the lunch, we sit under the big old tree in the garden, listening to the two master to continue the story. At last, we went on our car but no one want to leave this beautiful place.
I think by this time I find myself needing to continue learning and training so that Shaolin Shandong sect can be so strong. I will always remember today July 23, I hope someday we can visit his grave again. Finnally, I just wanna say you guys let build and develop the Shaolin Shandong sect together.
